Make your website sparkle!

As a portrait photographer for women, self-employed women and sole proprietorships are particularly close to my heart.

Very often these wonderful and creative entrepreneurs in particular do not like to show themselves at the beginning. But how important it is to show yourself and why it is so important for your own website, I talked to dear Daniela from miss-webdesign.at:

Dear Daniela, please introduce yourself and tell us who you are and what you offer:

I am Daniela and the proud founder of miss-webdesign.at. I help women to win the hearts of their dream customers through convincing web design.

Each of my websites is characterized by customer-oriented design with a clear strategy behind it. Because pretty is just not enough if you want to strengthen your expertise and win new customers online.

I want to understand exactly what your customers want from you so that I can tailor your website. That’s why I ask a lot of questions and tease the really important information out of you with a sure instinct.

This process also triggers personal development in many of my customers and helps them take their business to the next level. In doing so, I often provide emotional support.

I love the glitter in the eyes of my customers, those with theirs professional website reach a new milestone in your business.

And who is your target group?

My target group are ambitious women.

Women who are passionate about their topic and want to make a difference. Women who want to make the world a little better with what they offer. Women who jump over their shadows and face their fears in order to achieve their goals.

My heart beats for these women.

What is your goal or mission as an entrepreneur?

A lack of strategies, uncertainty and fear of technology mean that far too many dreams remain unlived and great ideas are not implemented.

It doesn’t have to be!

I would like to encourage women to make themselves and their valuable offers visible without being held up by all the technology.

Tell us a little bit about your branding:

There are many technical tasks to be carried out around a website. Server, database, programming codes, plugins, … it would have been easy to classify myself in the typical blue dominated color scheme of the technology division.

But that’s exactly what I didn’t want. I wanted to stand out and, above all, to get women excited about web design with WordPress. They encourage doing things like backups and all of the maintenance of their website into their own hands. The many Instructions on my blog go exactly in this direction, where I explain supposedly complicated things in simple words and structured work steps.

That’s why I made a conscious decision to use the following branding:

• Signature color: a strong pink
• Font: Open Sans
• Tonality: appreciative, solution-oriented, without technical jargon
• Imagery: professional, self-confident and feminine

But just as you evolve, so does your website, your brand, and with it your branding. That is why it is also important to analyze and adapt your own branding and appearance again and again.

Why did you decide to do a personal branding photo shoot – with me ?????

At the beginning of self-employment, many of my customers face two challenges:

1. They don’t like to show themselves.
2. They pay very close attention to their budget.

Stock photos, which you can buy cheaply on various platforms, are a good solution. But only until you realize that “your” main motif can be found on dozens of other websites … I speak from experience.

As a sole proprietorship, you have a strong connection to your business. In many cases, your personality is even your USP, which sets you apart from other providers.

That is why it is important to become tangible as a person. This works best with professional photos that show you who you are and with which you feel comfortable. Photos that you like and proudly show.

I decided to do a branding shoot with Karin in early summer 2020 because I love the look and feel of her photos, this clarity and airy lightness.

Karin made me shine and created a relaxed feel-good atmosphere in the studio with her cordial nature. It was like a day with a good friend.

The result is wonderfully authentic photos, which I am very proud of and which have received a lot of positive feedback.

And finally, ONE TIP that you would give to other entrepreneurs who also want to have photos taken for their business:

Treat yourself to this day and enjoy it with a photographer with whom you feel comfortable.

Suitable photos for your business are not an annoying necessity, but an investment in more self-confidence and well-being. And your desired customers will feel that too.
